RG IGJ 7/2015: the Rules of the Inspección General de Justicia
General Resolution IGJ 7/2015 approved the Rules of the Inspección General de Justicia: the regulatory body that organizes and systematizes the procedures for incorporation, registration, amendment and supervision of companies, civil associations and foundations in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
What it regulates
RG 7/2015 is the base regulatory text of the IGJ: it gathers into a single body the registry procedure rules of the City of Buenos Aires. It replaced RG 7/2005 and has been amended by numerous later resolutions.
- Systematizes the requirements and procedures for the incorporation and registration of companies, associations and foundations before the IGJ.
- Regulates bylaw amendments, appointment of officers, capital increases and reductions, dissolution and liquidation.
- Establishes the regime for companies incorporated abroad (arts. 118, 123 and 124 LGS) before the IGJ.
- Has been the subject of multiple amendments; the IGJ announced (RG 10/2024) its replacement by a new text.

Commentary
In practice in the CABA, the Rules of the IGJ are the everyday reference for every corporate procedure: they define what documentation to file, how to draft clauses and what criteria the agency applies. They coexist with Law 19,550, which they regulate but cannot contradict.
Because of their dynamic nature, one must always verify the version in force and the amending resolutions before starting a procedure: a requirement may have changed under a later RG.
