Service of process on a foreign company (art. 122 LGS)
A foreign company may be served in Argentina through the agent involved in the isolated act or, where a branch or representation exists, through its representative.

Article 122 governs service of process on a foreign company in Argentina.
Service of process on a company incorporated abroad may be effected in the Republic: a) where the claim arises from an isolated act, on the agent who participated in the act or contract giving rise to the dispute; b) if a branch, seat or representation exists, on the representative.

Commentary
The rule facilitates access to local courts: service abroad is unnecessary when the dispute arises from an act performed in Argentina or the company has a local representation.
