Article 64 of the General Companies Law specifies the content of the income statement: sales, costs, expenses by function, and the year's results, with separate disclosure of specified items.
What article 64
Article 64 governs the structure of the company's income statement for the fiscal year.
The income statement must disclose proceeds from sales or services, net of their cost, ordinary administrative, selling and financing expenses—with specific disclosure of compensation of administrators, directors and statutory auditors, other professional fees, salaries and related charges—and the results for the fiscal year, including extraordinary results.

Commentary
The statement shows how the fiscal-year result was generated. Separate disclosure of compensation paid to administrators, directors, and statutory auditors gives shareholders a direct control tool over management remuneration and relates to the statutory cap in article 261.
